Arunachal can become a  major agro-tourism hub: MoS

Organic Mission Launched In State  
ITANAGAR, Apr 16: Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday last took a major leap towards healthy and sustainable agriculture with the launching of State Organic Mission at Banquet Hall here by Union Minister of State (MoS) for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh. 
With this launch, the state hopes to shift to organic farming in a phased manner and promote Arunachal Pradesh as an organic state.
While terming Arunachal as an agriculture heaven, Giriraj Singh in his deliberation said, “The people in Arunachal Pradesh have been abundantly blessed with all of nature’s resources so accordingly organic farming will ensure that the state becomes a major agro-tourism destination.” 
“It is pertinent to add value addition to our agriculture and horticulture produces by changing the raw product into something new through different processes. Without value addition, he added, it would be a meaningless venture. 
Singh further also assured to look into the problems which are endemic in the state. 
Speaking on the occasion, state agriculture minister Wangki Lowang said that Arunachal Pradesh has always been traditionally organic, with the farmers having excellent advantage of natural farming system.
