Namchoom inspects Namsai projects

NAMSAI, Jun 01: Planning Parliamentary Secretary Chau Zingnu Namchoom on Thursday inspected projects under state plan. Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma, DPO Dr K Sarmah, officers of executing agencies and DLMC members accompanied him.

The inspection was a follow-up of Wednesday’s DLMC meeting.

The DLMC team visited projects executed by various departments under SADA, SIDF, RIDF, NLCPR, Untied Fund and MLALAD in 48-Lekang, 47-Namsai and 46-Chowkham constituencies. Many projects, as was found during the DLMC meeting, were found to be ongoing while others were found completed. Some of the completed projects had not been handed over to the user agency or commissioned for use by the general public.

Namchoom, expressing satisfaction over most projects, requested the executing agencies to expedite the ongoing projects to ensure completion before the onset of monsoon. The deputy commissioner directed the executing agencies to immediately hand over completed projects and submit completion reports and utilisation certificates to appropriate authorities.

The DC also asked officers to frequently visit project sites so that quality of work is maintained. The DMO was requested to expedite the functioning of the de-addiction centre at Lathao at an early date.

The other DLMC team members were EE-WRD, EE-PWD, EE-RWD, AE-Electrical, DMO, BDO Namsai, ZPC Kyasing Munglang, ZPM of Namsai, ZPM Lekang and fishery officer of Borbeel fishery.
