BJP women’s wing to educate masses on Central schemes

ITANAGAR, May 23: The two-day long state executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) concluded on Sunday with members taking oath to promote and educate the masses on various advantageous schemes launched by the BJP government.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Jomde Kena, while outlining various developmental agenda of the Narendra Modi government, called upon the BJMM members and other party workers to take the Central schemes – especially those for women – to the people.

Power minister Tamiyo Taga, underlining the importance of BJP’s women and youth wings, asked the womenfolk to take personal responsibility of serving the society through the party.

Recalling the hard days of BJP in Arunachal, Taga appreciated the workers who sacrificed their valuable time and energy for the party. He also exalted the role of women and praised their part of struggle while Congress was on power.

The first day of the meeting on Monday saw Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar urge party members to become a bridge between common people and the government so that all the schemes launched by BJP-led NDA government reaches every nook and corner of state.

“BJP is the world’s largest political party with more than 10 crore members and 30-32 per cent of them are women. So we will have to work hard contribute in nation building and supporting the prime minister in his venture,” she said.

State Mahila Morcha president Tadar Yayang Bengia in her presidential address called upon the women delegates to take full advantage of the executive meeting while BJP’s state vice president Dominic Tadar delivered a talk on Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya, his life history and political philosophy.

Mahila Morcha state general secretary Techi Mamta, legislator Dasanglu Pul, BJP state vice president Kenyir Ringu, general secretary (organisation) Ramesh Kadaganchi, advisor to chief minister Tai Tagak, IMC chief councillor Kipa Kaku and  other dignitaries and leaders of the party also spoke on the occasion.
