Waii seeks support to eradicate corruption from state

ITANAGAR, May 27: The state BJP on Saturday celebrated the three years glorious journey of NDA government at the centre with great fanfare and enthusiasm in presence of party workers at its headquarters at Vivek Vihar, here.

The celebrations will continue till June 15, with the party organizing conventions on achievements of Modi in districts level down to village, block and booth level also.

Terming the BJP as ‘Dynamic in nature’ Home Minister Kumai Waii in his address emphasized that the BJP, being a national party, was a cadre based party and not an individual centric party where all the party workers were as important as any other.

He pledged to eradicate corruption completely from the state and sought support from all stakeholders.

Dwelling on the achievements of NDA government in the past three years, Senior Party Leader, Laisam Simai said the under the leadership  of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the citizens of the country has been witnessing progress and development of our country at its peak level.

“We are dedicating this momentous day to our beloved Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who with his commitment and devotion has made the Nation to achieve the feat, which no political has achieved after independence,” added Simai.

He said that that the PM, Modi had taken up the task of providing toilets in every households, implemented the Jan Dhan scheme and opened more than 14 crore bank accounts for financial inclusion which the Congress did not think of in sixty years, set up the Skill Development Ministry to enhance employ-ability of the youth, directly provided funds to states ex-chequer by auctioning the unused coalmines, launched Beti padhao, Beti Bachao Abhiyan to give women empowerment and development in the country etc.

Simai further emphasized on economic and social development of state saying it is only possible if the masses continue to support the government in every development aspects.

Elaborating on growth of BJP in the country, Changlang, MLA Tesum Pongte said that BJP is today known as one of the best working political party in the world, not only for its egalitarian nature but due to the strong foundation laid by its founding figures like Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.

“BJP is the only party with a ‘difference’ which considers interest of the nation as foremost, not like Congress who have looted the nation and abandoned the people in darkness for decades,” added Pongte asserting that now under the leadership of Modi other countries felt the presence of India in international platform and achieved a leading status.

Pongte also said that the BJP government under Act East policy has connected almost all the village in Aruanchal with highways with infrastructures and other required facilities.

 Terming the big win of BJP over congress in last Assembly election at Utter Pradesh as an acknowledgement of the untiring efforts of party workers at grassroots level, in-charge president cum general secretary, Jarpum Gamlin pointed out that the very foundation of BJP is resting on the shoulder of grassroots level works, who is with their determination and commitment to forge ahead despite the many challenges has shaped the body of party today, leaving an inspiring example for tomorrow.

Expressing his sincere appreciation to the larger BJP family, who has contributed with all their might over the years to party development, Gamlin urged ministers, parliamentary secretaries, legislators, councillors, panchayat members and other party workers of the state unit to emulate the examples of workers of UP to bring new change and development in the state.

Gamlin further also stated that the BJP would eradicate poverty for which it had put various pro-poor schemes under implementation and exhorted the activists to focus on strengthening the party from the grass root level and create awareness of welfare schemes of Modi at rural areas and help the right people get the benefits of pro-poor schemes.
