DM convenes peace committee meet

PASIGHAT, May 27: The first round of peace committee meeting convened by the district administration in an effort to garner harmony back between the Adi and Galo community concluded in a positive note on Saturday.

The meet saw representatives of both the communities resolve on maintaining peace and harmony at all cost and also not to upload any provocative writings/comments in print and social media. The meet also decided that the 2^nd round of the peace committee meeting will be held next month in which five executive members each from both the Adi and Galo community would participate.

The meeting was among others attended by the SP Pranav Tayal, ADC Taddo Borang, administrative officers and representatives from the Pasighat (West) and Nari-Koyu assembly constituencies.
